Leadership
Leadership is one of Capital H Group's four core services. To identify and develop leaders, we use proprietary tools and programs available only through the Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD), a division of Capital H Group.
Since the 1980s, CHPD has studied the attributes that define effective leadership and drive organizational success. Our assessment and development methodologies are grounded in internationally recognized research from Princeton University and London Business School, and validated through continual application in client organizations. The CHPD model acknowledges two key aspects of leadership and provides tools to measure each:
- Capability
How capable is a person to lead? This factor combines knowledge, experience, management skills and High Performance Behaviors (HPBs). Capability can be learned and developed.
- Preference
What is an individual's preference for leading others? Preference is innate, and links to personality, values and motivations.
Our assessments link directly to the development programs we design.
CHPD's leadership model has been used by more than 100 organizations worldwide and our database of more than 12,000 leadership profiles is recognized as one of the foremost benchmarking tools available today. This research informs clients exactly what makes a high-performing leader, whether a first-time manager or global CEO. Our approach is scalable, relevant and effective whether we are developing leaders at one site or many; within one job level or across all.
